Mrs. Fredonia Davis will celebrate her 105th birthday on March 26.

She was born in 1915 in Rocky Hill, Texas, to Leonard and Maggie Jones. She got her education at Rocky Hill Public Schools. 

She married Ernest (Sonny Man) Davis on June 13, 1932. They moved to Marlin in the late 30s.

She has seven children, Ernest Jr., Leonard Clarence, John Henry, Doris Fay, Lois Jean, James (Jim) Willie, and Erma Jewell.

Her hobbies include traveling, gardening, reading the newspaper, and spending time with family to talk about “old times.”

She reminds everyone to: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

She says the secret to longevity is to trust in the Lord, eat healthy, get your rest, and, “mind your own business.”

Her entire family wishes her the happiest of birthdays.
