FBC Old-Fashioned Day
“The Marlin Missionary First Baptist Church, Rev. Vincent Hartsfield, Pastor, will host its annual Old-Fashioned Day, Sunday, April 25 during the morning service at 10 a.m. The theme is “Back to the Basics”, Acts 2:42. Rev. Troy Allen of the Greater Bethany Church-Marlin will bring the message. The public is invited to attend as the members reflect on the simple ways of life bringing the past into the present. LOTT CITY WIDE
GARAGE SALE
The Lott Queen of the Prairie Civic Club is sponsoring the annual city wide garage sales on May 1, starting at 7 a.m. - ?. There will be a list of sales at the Civic Center/Fire Station, as well as restroom facilities. Drinks, sandwiches, chips, cookies, etc., will be sold by the club; the proceeds will help with the scholarship fund. The club awards at least one $500 annual scholarship to a graduating Lott student attending Rosebud-Lott High School (who meets the required criteria). There will be free areas available under the pavilion by the post office. To reserve a space, contact Shirley Melton at 254-709-1041. Individuals having a sale may go to City Hall (do not call) and have their address added to the list of sales or call Shirley Melton.
Pancake Breakfast
Marlin Lions Club & Gospel Lighthouse Church of Marlin are sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast on May 22 from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak. $7 each.
Rosebud VFD Fundraiser
The Rosebud Fire Department Steak Dinner at Westphalia Parish Hall will be held on April 24 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $100 for 2 people: 12 oz ribeye, baked potato, beans, salad, and dessert.
Prizes available, but there will not be a door prize this year. Contact a Rosebud VFD Member, Rosebud Feed and Grain, or Artisan Alley for more information.
Riesel Youth Baseball

Local Youth Program
Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.
Veterans Assistance
Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program
The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child. The Marlin Indoor Vendors Market takes place weekly at 215 Live Oak Street, Marlin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is also seeking vendors. The building is climate controlled. Lions Club meeting
Lions Club of Marlin will meet every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chicken Place. For February, this will be Feb. 9 and Feb. 23.
