FALLS COUNTY FELONY DOCKET

On May 25, 2023, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam.  The following felony cases were disposed of:  

3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Derrick Solomon, 37, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of assault causes bodily injury family member enhanced. He was revoked and sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. 

Derrick Solomon, 37, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of assault causes bodily injury family member enhanced. He was revoked and sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. 

Derrick Solomon, 37, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of bail jumping. He was revoked and sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. 

Joshua Kyle Page, 44, from Purdon, TX, who had been placed on probation for the offense of possession of methamphetamine more than one gram but less than four grams. He was revoked and sentenced to 3 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System.

Marin Lee Payne, 53, from Marlin, pled guilty to felon In possession of a firearm. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentence was revoked and he was placed on 10 years probation, assessed a 2,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. He was arrested on January 18, 2022, by Marlin Police Department.

Marin Lee Payne, 53, from Marlin, pled guilty to bail jumping. He was sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentence was revoked and he was placed on 10 years probation, assessed a 2,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. He was arrested on January 18, 2022, by Marlin Police Department.

Jose Israel Contreras, 54 , from Riesel, pled guilty to assault family household memeber, previous conviction.  He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Contreras was arrested on October 18, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.

Carl Randall Roppolo, 47, from Temple, pled guilty to assault family violence with previous conviction. He was placed on 10 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. He was also ordered to complete anger management program. Roppolo was arrested on March 11, 2023, by Marlin Police Department.

Carl Randall Roppolo, 47, from Temple, pled guilty to violation of bond/protective order assault/stalk. He was placed on 10 years deferred probation. Ordered to complete anger management program. Roppolo was arrested on March 11, 2023, by Marlin Police Department. 

Misty Dawn Oneal, 53, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine more than one gram but less than four grams. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation, ordered to complete community service hours. She was also ordered into the Felony Substance Abuse Program. Oneal was arrested on December 13, 2023, by Marlin Police Department. 

Aairon Ladawn Mathews, 26, from Temple, pled guilty to bail jumping X2. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. She was also ordered into the Felony Substance Abuse Program. Mathews was arrested on May 24, 2023, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office. 

State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)

Knealious Zykeith Wilson, 24, from Marlin, pled guilty to burglary of a building. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,000.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Wilson was arrested on April 30, 2023, by Marlin Police Department. 

Lacy Nicole Lavin, 31, from Marlin, pled guilty to burglary of a building. She was sentenced to 2 years confinement in a State Jail Facility. Her sentence was suspended and she was placed on 5 years probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Lavin was arrested on April 19, 2022, by Falls County Constable. 

Charity Lee Ann Moore, 46, from Marlin, pled guilty to burglary of building. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service. Moore was arrested on April 19, 2022, by Falls County Constable. 

Cerina Tubbs, 32, from Reagan, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram. She was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours community service. Tubbs was arrested on August 7, 2021, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office. 

David Wayne Cleveland, 47, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of cocaine, less than one gram. He was sentenced to 18 months confinement in a State Jail Facility. Cleveland was arrested on January 25, 2023, by Marlin Police Department. 

Derrick Solomon, 37, from Marlin, pled guilty to abandon endanger a child. He was sentenced to 18 months confinement in a State Jail Facility. Solomon was arrested on May 6, 2023, by Marlin Police Department.
