“A Conversation with Stephen Harrigan” canceled as MCC monitors COVID-19 pandemic
As McLennan Community College continues to monitor the spread of COVID-19 and operate in accordance to guidance from medical professionals, the March 26 event, “A Conversation with Stephen Harrigan,” has been canceled.
Harrigan, an acclaimed Texas writer and the bestselling author of “Big Wonderful Thing: A History of Texas,” was scheduled to be interviewed by MCC Associate Professor of History Dr. Richard Driver in a public event at the MCC Conference Center. The College Leadership Team, working alongside Harrigan, decided to cancel the event to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Those who secured their free tickets through the Eventbrite ticket webpage have been notified of the cancelation. If the event is rescheduled, those people will be notified via email, and the event would be publicized again.
