THE BELLS OF FALLS COUNTY RING IN HONOR OF VETERANS

On Veterans' Day, November 11, five churches in Falls County rang their bells in recognition of the service of all U.S. military veterans. Church members rang the bells at 11:00 a.m. on the eleventh day of the eleventh month as has been our nation's practice since the ending of World War I in 1918.
Churches participating included First United Methodist in Marlin, First Baptist in Marlin, First Baptist of Golinda, Sacred Heart Catholic in Lott and First Presbyterian, Lott.
The plan is to ring the church bells on other selected holidays during the year. Anyone desiring additional information or wishing to add their church to this program should call 584-2339 or 541-0684.
