Orchid Fox turns 93 during pandemic

A parade was organized on Facebook for Ms. Orchid Fox, who turns 93 this week. Her family, who has lived in Marlin for about 3 years, normally holds a large pool party attended by family members in the area, but due to the coronavirus, no such party could be held. Fox’s daughter, Annie Laurie Fox-Shaw, reached out to the community for support in celebrating the occasion and support they did. Representatives from the Falls County Sheriff’s Department, the Marlin Police Department, and the Marlin Fire Department were in attendance, along with nearly 20 additional vehicles.
Fox was provided with balloons, flowers, and a number of signs, as seen above.
