Getting kids healthy is the name of the game

Mrs. King and Faith Hope & Charity teamed up with Nickelodeon to bring the network’s “Worldwide Day of Play” campaign to residents of Marlin. The homegrown hero spoke about the importance of hard work and maintaining an active lifestyle. The event took place Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Marlin courthouse square and was meant to encourage kids to be active and get kids engaged in a more active and healthy lifestyle. Sponsors for this event included HEB, Sonic Drive Inn, Texas Pneumatic Tools, Apple-Sport-Chevrolet and Mc-Donalds.
