Marlin Headstart enjoys time with Marlin Police Officials M

In recent months, officials of the Marlin Police Department have taken the initiative in involving themselves with members of the community to help strengthen what used to be a strong, respectful bond. To do so they have hosted several different types of events such as “Coffee with the Cops”, and “Taters with the Cops”.

They have also made it a goal to spend time with the youth of Marlin by visiting each of the local daycare centers, including Marlin’s Headstart program, located off of Highway 6. Each time they visit one of these facilities, Police Chief Michael Pesses and Police Captain John Simmons are always on scene to provide the kids with a little story time from the children’s book “Police”. Their visit to Headstart on Tuesday, June 5, would actually be the second time in recent weeks that the MPD has visited the facility to read to and visit with the children.
