Sign up begins for holiday meal event

Faith Hope and Charity, a local non-profit, is sponsoring a “free Thanksgiving dinner for the elderly” even on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents age 65 and older who would like to participate must reserve their meal, prepared at Faith Hope and Charity, 405 E First St., Marlin, by Saturday, Nov. 14.
Concerned Citizens Organization for Youth Inc., Salvation Army, HEB, Apple-Sport, Deborah Raphael & CIS, Golden Years Nursing Home and Rehabilitation, and Falls Community Hospital and Clinic are also sponsers for the event.
