Story Time
Children’s Story Time returns to the Marlin Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Worldwide Day of Play
Faith, Hope and Charity will present Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play on Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at 405 E. First Street in Marlin. Activities include a sack race, jump rope, bouncers, hula hoops, and other outdoor activities. Free snacks and drinks. To volunteer or sponsor the event, call (254) 252-0218.
Marlin LIttle LEague Football
Marlin Little League Football will host Family Friend Football game on Sept. 18 starting at 9:30 a.m. There are over 100 Marlin kids that participate in the little league football organization. It would be great if the community can come out supports our kids. The Ramonce Taylor Youth Association (RTYA) is a nonprofit youth program that was established 2018 it gives the youth in the community an opportunity to participate in sports at no charge to the parents. This is 1st year of coming to Falls County Marlin area. It also provides mentorship in hopes to keep this younger generation on the right track both in the community as well as in their classrooms. RTYA focus on creating and developing well rounded and positive young people. Come out it will greatly appreciated and an encouragement to the kids there in the community RTYA motto: Doing it for the Kids.
Local Youth Program
Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.
Veterans Assistance
Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. After School Program
The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child. NAACP
NAACP will meet every fourth Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Falconer Stamp Center on Durr Street.
Lions Club meeting
Lions Club of Marlin will meet every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Chicken Place.
