Chilton ISD welcomes new coaches
Chilton ISD has recently announced that educators Victoria Kuykendall and Lakesha Black have been promoted to coaches for the district.
Kuykendall will head the Chilton ISD Tennis program next year. She is a Class of 2013 Chilton ISD graduate who, after a stellar basketball career at Dallas Christian College, returned to Chilton ISD as a History teacher and Coach. In addition to serving as the Head Tennis Coach, Kuykendall will serve as an assistant coach for Volleyball and Basketball. She is set to begin her third year of teaching with Chilton ISD.
Coach Lakesha Black has been appointed as the head basketball coach for the Chilton Lady Pirates program. Coach Black is a Class of 2009 Chilton ISD graduate, coming up on her tenth year of working in education. Black has taught 8th grade science and AVID for the Chilton ISD for the past four years. Coach Black had stunning basketball careers at both the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Huston Tillotson University. She will also serve as the Co-District Director for AVID Program and will assist with high school volleyball and tennis.
