back to school prayer walk
The 19th Annual Back to School Prayer Walk will be on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 7 a.m. Participants are asked to meet at the Marlin Middle School parking lot. Come and join the MISD School Board, administrators, teachers, support staff, students, parents, and our Marlin community in prayer for a successful 2024-25 school year.The event is coordinated by Overcomers in Christ, an Outreach Ministry of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. ROSEBUD-LOTT 50+ REUNION
The 2nd Annual Rosebud-Lott High School Reunion 50+ recognizing all alumni from 1971, 1972, 1973 & 1974 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church Center in Rosebud on Saturday, Aug. 3, Sign in begins at 1 p.m. Introductions will begin at 2 p.m. with the meal to follow. Marlin Missionary Baptist Church and Rev. Vincent Hartsfield, pastor, will celebrate its upcoming Men’s Day with a Men’s Day Breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 8 a.m. Workshop speaker will be Pastor Arthur Sneed. The Men’s Day Annual will follow on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall with Pastor Joe Scaggs and the True Vine Baptist Church family. MARLIN SENIOR CENTER
Marlin Senior Center hosts dominoes from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday and Thursday; Bingo from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. The Jamboree is held every third Saturday from 6-9 p.m. There is no admission fee. The building is also available for rent. The fee is $200 a day and a $100 deposit.

The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $20 per child.
