BTW Alumni and Ex-Students provide supplies for MISD

A heartwarming example of dedication to education and community support unfolded as the proud alumni of Booker T. Washington High School came together to give back to Marlin ISD. Their generous donation of school supplies is set to have a significant impact on local students and teachers in the area.

Recognizing the challenges that many local families face in providing school supplies for their children, the National Alumni of Booker T. Washington High School rallied to ensure that students in the community are well-prepared.

“It’s more than just giving back; it’s about supporting the future of our community,” said Kathryn Lynn President of the BTW National President spokesperson for the alumni group. “We firmly believe in the potential of our students, and we want to give them every opportunity to excel.”

Initiated by the alumni of Booker T. Washington High School, collected over $1,000 in funds and purchased a wide range of identified supplies, including paper, wipes notebooks, pencils, pens, and various other classroom essentials. The response from the National Alumni Chapter was nothing short of impressive.

The donated supplies were distributed to local district. This collaboration is a testament to the strong bond between the school and the alumni, demonstrating that their commitment to education extends beyond graduation.

The generosity of the Booker T. Washington High School Alumni expands beyond just this donation. They are planning to continue their engagement with local schools by offering scholarships and identifying other educational support.

This heartwarming initiative showcases the dedication and sense of community that the alumni of Booker T. Washington High School hold dear. Their commitment to providing local students with the resources they need is a shining example of the power of giving back.
