Early voting continues; Election Day set for Nov. 5
Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election continues through Nov. 1.
Texas voters will be choosing from a full slate of candidates, from president to U.S. senator to various county positions.
Voters are reminded to bring one of seven approved forms of photo IDs to the polls. Among the options are a Texas driver’s license, U.S. passport, or handgun license. A complete list of acceptable IDs can be found at vote.texas.gov. Voters can also make sure they are registered by going to that site.
Early voting in Falls County will be held at the Falls County Courthouse Building, 1910 Industrial Park Road in Marlin.
Early voting dates and times are: Monday to Friday, Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Falls County voters will vote for President/Vice President, US Senator, US Representative District 17, Railroad Commissioner, several state level judges, and State Representative District 13
The only contested local race is for Sheriff between Republican Jason Campbell and Democrat Joe Lopez.
Rosebud ISD voters will also approve a bond. See page 8 for more information on that.
Election day voting locations are: 101 - Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 411 Coleman Street in Marlin; 102 - Ward St. Church of Christ, 1305 Ward Street in Marlin; 103 - Otto Community Center, 106 CR 163D in Otto; 201 - Reagna Community Center, 118 CR 234, Reagan; 202 - Booker T. Washington Alumni Building, 216 Falls Street in Marlin; 203 - David Chapel United Methodist Church, 304 Colony St. in Marlin; 301 - Lott Fire Department, 313 E Gassaway in Lott; 302 - D. Brown Library, 203 N. 2nd Street in Rosebud; 303 - Westphalia Community Center, 114 CR 3000 in Westphalia; 401 - Country Worship Cowboy Church, 1658 FM 935 in Lott; 402 - Chilton Volunteer Fire Department, 2589 St Hwy 7 in Chilton; and 403 - Golinda City Hall, 7039 Golinda Drive in Golinda.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 5.
