Lott Homecoming
The 73rd Annual Lott Homecoming was held Saturday at R&R Properties Event Center (Old Lott High School). Albright Catering of Marlin catered a delicious meal of smoked pork tenderloin, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. Cookies and tea were also served. The business meeting and program was after the meal. After a report from Lott Ex-Students Association President John Self about current expenses for the Memory Room, a motion was made to pass the hat for donations to keep the Memory Room for at least another year. The motion was seconded & carried out by acclamation. Thanks to the generosity of the former students, enough money was raised to keep most of the memorabilia such as pictures, trophies and other relics, as well the Memory Room itself. The Lott Ex-Students Association Board has been given the task of trying to find a permanent place somewhere in Lott, if possible, for the Memory Room and it’s memorabilia. Plans were made for the 74th Annual Lott Homecoming to be held on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, and the meeting adjourned. Lott Senior Class Students from 1937-70 are represented by framed individual class photos of each graduate. For years, these pictures hung in the hallway leading to the Lott High School Gymnasium. They were later moved into the first Memory Room in the gym’s old dressing room behind the stage. The current Memory Room moved to it’s present location across from the cafeteria in early 2021.
