Marlin 4B Economic Development welcomes new board members
The Marlin 4B Economic Development Corporation (EDC) is proud to announce the installation of new Board members following its most recent meeting on Jan. 28.
Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, Judge Kaylah Rosas, swore in the new Board Members. These dedicated individuals bring a wealth of experience, passion, and commitment to fostering economic growth and community development in Marlin.
The newly appointed Board members include:
• Courtney J. Henderson – Henderson is a lifelong resident of Marlin; Henderson has a strong connection to the community and a background in pharmacy technology. He currently serves with the Department of Veterans Affairs and is actively involved in local initiatives such as the Planning & Zoning Committee. His dedication to civic engagement and public service will be an asset to the EDC.
• Jonathan Martinez – A Marlin native and entrepreneur, Martinez owns Twisted Dish and has a deep passion for culinary arts and historic preservation. He actively serves on the Board of Directors for The Palace Theatre and The Allen House, working to revitalize local landmarks. His business acumen and commitment to Marlin’s cultural heritage will contribute to the city’s economic revitalization.
• Will Roe – Originally from Robinson, Texas, Roe has embraced Marlin as his home and is deeply involved in civic affairs. A Texas A&M University graduate with a background in business and telecommunications, he serves on the Marlin City Charter Commission and is Vice Chairman of the Falls County Republican Party. His expertise and community engagement will help drive strategic development initiatives. In addition, Roe was elected Secretary of the EDC Board.
These returning and new Board members join the other current members: Dr. John Barrett (President); Hermetta Paul (Vice President) Melissa Mahoney (Treasure), and Jimi Lynn. “We are excited to welcome these outstanding individuals to the Board,” said EDC President John Barrett. “Their dedication to Marlin’s economic growth, local businesses, and community well-being will help shape the future of our city.”
The Marlin 4B EDC remains committed to fostering sustainable economic development, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the quality of life for residents. The newly installed Board members will play a crucial role in guiding these efforts and ensuring continued progress.
