Marlin ISD approves appointment of trustees

The Appointment of Trustees to the Marlin ISD School Board was approved at the District Board meeting Monday, Jan. 13. This momentous occasion was shared with family and friends. Marlin ISD has returned to a 7-member Board. Since February 2017, the district was under the jurisdiction of the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Marlin ISD is the first district to regain local control due to academic success. Pictured from left to right are: Kathleen Barrett, Board Manager, Judge Debra Trotter (District 5), Winnette Outland (District 3), Misty Ehlers (District 2), Sharon Tomlinson (District 4), and Dr. Darryl Henson, Superintendent of Schools. Appointments for Districts 2,3,4 and 5 will appear on the ballot during the May 3 election. Other Boards members are Billy Johnson (District 1), Byrleen Terry, (At- Large), Rosalyn Dimerson, and Marsha Ridlehuber.
