Rotary: Helping each other to collectively help others

Rotary Club of Marlin welcomed guest speaker Wesley Charles Rolan, Financial Advisor-Edward Jones of Marlin, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at The Chicken Place.

Members of the Rotary Club of Marlin began coming together following its charter on Aug. 24, 1931. A founding principle of Rotary was to meet periodically to enjoy camaraderie and enlarge one’s circle of business, community, and professional acquaintances. As people of action in Marlin, Rotarians meet weekly to strengthen these connections to friends and neighbors and their commitment to improving lives. In short, Rotarians help each other and collectively help others.

The Rotary Club’s four principles are fellowship, integrity, diversity, and service. The club also has a code of ethics called the Four-Way Test, which is a set of questions to guide Rotarians in their personal and professional lives.

Since 1931, Rotary Club of Marlin has provided service to others, promoted integrity, and advanced world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
