Six Marlin High seniors receive scholarships from BTW Ex-students Educational Association

The Booker T. Washington & Ex-Students Educational Association Natioanl President Kathryn Lyn and scholarship committee members Sandra Massington attended the annual Marlin High School Graduation Awards Ceremony on May 23.

The ceremony was well attended by students, parents, family, and member sof the Marlin community.

Six seniors were presented with a $500 BTW Scholarship from the National Association. Each student was congratulated with words of encouragement on their accomplishments and their desire to earn a higher education.

The six recipients of the BTW National Scholarships were: Jaasiah Roddy, Ronnyesha Smith, Destinee Womack, Desmond Woodson, Zha’Mauryon Lofton, and Trajon Butler.

Each student was given a quote to inspire them to focus on their goals.
