Yezak named 2024 Fair Queen
The 2024 Falls County Queen Contest was held on Sept. 7 at the FCYF Fairgrounds.
Addison Yezak, of Westphalia 4H, was crowned 2024 FCYF Queen. Addison was awarded a $1,000 scholarship along with a queen buckle. Addison was also the highest ticket seller and received that buckle as well along with a bag of prizes.
Addison is the daughter of Justin and Courtney Yezak and is a junior at Bremond High School.
Adele Drews, of Otto 4H, was First Runner Up. She was awarded a scholarship for $650 and a bag of prizes. She is the daughter of Josh and Lisa Drews and is a senior at Riesel High School.
Bailee Beckendorf represented Otto 4H. She raised the highest number of sponsors and was awarded a buckle as well as a scholarship for $300 and a bag of prizes.
She is the daughter of Jason and Becky Beckendorf and is senior at Riesel High School.
Phoenix Steel represented Marlin FFA. She was awarded $300 scholarship and a bag of prizes.
She is the daughter of Leslie Thiele and is a senior at Marlin High School.
The Queen Contestants are required to sell 60 $5 raffle tickets and a minimum of $250 in sponsorships. They also must complete an essay and be interviewed by our 3 judges.
The judges this year were Remmington Snokhous, who is the reigning 2024 Mrs. US Agriculture, Allison Sulak, and Brashonda Adams. The duties of the contestants are to help in the show ring during the fair and help during the sale.
KC on the Range donated all three buckles as well as custom jewelry for each of the girls..

Erin Hare was the Master of Ceremony.
