Fathers, Mothers, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins were all out and about for the opening day of the Marlin Youth Baseball and Softball Association.
A meeting for parents of Marlin Independent School District as well as members of the Marlin community was hosted last Tuesday night at the Marlin Volunteer Fire Department.
Following the arrest of Marlin Police Officer, Travis Devone Cuthrell, a federal state agency that was backing the Marlin PD decided to pull its support of the police department on January 24.
In what appears to be a regular occurrence, a small group of individuals continue to go through donations left at the local Samaritan House.
Falls County Sheriff’s Office officials are currently investigating a drowning at the old city lake north of Marlin.
Officers received the call at approximately 5:48 pm Friday evening.
