EOAC receives funding from Heart of Texas Electric Coop & CoBank

Economic Opportunities Advancement Corporation received a $10,000 donation from Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative and CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries throughout rural America. Heart of Texas EC General Manager Brandon Young and Member Services Manager Ron Poston presented the donation to EOAC’s Sylvia Flores and staff members, Sabrian Arausa, Lupe Gonzalez, Kris Jackson, Sheila Jackson, Julia McDonald, Dorothy Marstaller, and Karicia Parker. “We are thrilled with this donation, said EOAC’s Interim Executive Director Dorothy Marstaller.

“It is very much needed.” HOTEC’s donation was matched by CoBank through its Sharing Success program. The program, launched in 2012, has matched contributions to hundreds of charitable organizations in all 50 states over the past six years. Together, CoBank and its members have contributed over $33 million to support the efforts of these organizations, the majority of which are located in rural communities.
