City Hall reopening Thursday
The City of Marlin announced on Friday May 1 that Marlin City Hall will be reopening to the public as of May 7.
The building will go back to it’s normal hours of operation, but visitors will be expected to follow guidelines from the Center for Disease Control.
Visitors will be required to wear a mask to enter, as well as they should use hand sanitizer from the stations near each entrance. Patrons are also expected to follow proper social distancing procedures while waiting in line or doing anything within the building.
“This is being done to provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff, visitors, and citizens,” the City of Marlin stated in a press release.
Officials have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to keep Marlin running smoothly. Following Gov. Greg Abbott’s guidelines, employees worked half of their work days from home with select staff members being forced to work their full day from home.
Though Texas is slowly beginning to reopen, both County and City officials continue to encourage citizens to follow guidelines set by the CDC, found at coronavirus.gov.City Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with a (closed) lunch hour from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
