Chilton ISD sets Graduation Plans
This week Chilton ISD announced their plans for holding graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020. There will be both virtual and traditional ceremonies held for graduates.
The virtual ceremony will take place first, on May 22 at 8 p.m., and will be preceded by a Senior Parade around Chilton at 6:30 p.m. Seniors are limited one to each car, along with their parents if desired.
There will be a traditional ceremony on July 17, after Gov. Greg Abbott’s restrictions on in-person ceremonies have been lifted. It will be held either in the Chilton ISD gymnasium or on the football field, but plans are subject to change due to the pandemic.
There will also be virtual ceremonies for kindergarten and eighth grade students being promoted. Both will take place on May 21 at 6 and 7 p.m. respectively. There will be traditional ceremonies on July 16 at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
All three virtual ceremonies will be live streamed on the Chilton ISD Facebook page to ensure that those who are unable to attend can still participate in supporting the Class of 2020.
