Girl Scout Troop #21100 Returns
Girl Scouts Troop #21100 has permission to assemble in the troop’s home/facility by following strict precautions against the spread of Covid-19.
“At Girl Scouts, there is nothing we take more seriously than the safety and well-being of our members and the community,” explained Elaine Truett, Leader of Troop #21100 in Marlin, Texas.
Girl Scouts offers programs for girls from kindergarten to high school, and girls can participate in Girl Scouts from ages 5 to 18. (Girls who are 5 must be eligible for kindergarten; girls who are 18 must be enrolled in high school.)
- Daisies. Grades K–1.
- Brownies. Grades 2–3.
- Juniors. Grades 4–5.
- Cadettes. Grades 6–8.
- Seniors. Grades 9–10.
- Ambassadors. Grades 11–12.
The Girl Scout Difference is a program “proven to help girls thrive in five key ways as they develop a strong sense of self, seek challenges and learn from setbacks, display positive values, form and maintain healthy relationships, and identify/solve problems in the community.”
Girl Scouts get together to play games and sing songs, go on field trips to museums and nature centers, and explore the outdoors.
Girl Scouts earn badges as they learn to do all kinds of fun things—like express their inner artist, camp out, go geocaching, conduct science experiments, plant gardens, and so much more.
Girl Scouts 1) Meet new friends in troop and at events; 2) Try new things, work toward badges, and learn the powerful ways to take the lead every single day; 3) Make a difference in the community through Leadership Journeys; 4) Hone business skills by selling cookies; 5) Explore nature, the outdoors, the world, and go to Girl Scout summer camp.
There is more. Girl Scouts learn to solve issues cared about by earning Highest Awards, advocate for girls, join an influential board—work may even be honored as a Young Women of Distinction!
Girl Scout uniform options are in step with today's trends and active lifestyles! Girl Scouts at each level wear one required element (tunic, sash, or vest) to display official pins and awards. Girls can mix and match pieces from the official Girl Scout collection to complete the uniform.
Badges, pins, insignia, awards, and patches should be displayed on a sash, vest, or tunic only after girls have completed the requirements outlined in official program materials.
Patches are given to Girl Scouts for participating in fun events, activities or other programs. Patches are worn on the back of the vests or sashes.
As part of the world's largest girl leadership development organization, Girl Scouts Troop #21100 engages girls in grades K–12 through programs in Life Skills, Entrepreneurship, Outdoor, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
