Criswell Cemetery Homecoming
The 70th Annual Criswell Cemetery Homecoming will be Sunday, June 13, at 11 a.m. General Business Meeting followed by Singing and Communion. Lunch at noon.

Fish Fry
A drive-through Fish Fry will be held on Saturday, June 12, from 5-7 p.m. at the St. Paul UCC parsonage. Plates will be $12 and proceeds will support the restoration of historic St. Paul church. 212 FM 2307 (5 miles north of Marlin off Hwy. 6)
Hamburger Drive Thru Supper
Perry Ladies Society of Perry Methodist Church will host its Second Hamburger Drive Thru Supper on Saturday, June 26, from 5-7 p.m. at Perry Methodist Fellowship hall, 193 CR 127, Riesel. Hamburger, chips, drink and homemade dessert for $8 until sold out.
Sacred Heart Picnic
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lott will host its Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 27, at the parish hall. Barbecue plates will be served beginning at 11 a.m. for $10 each. Activities include a live auction, games and general store. There will also be a barbecue cook-off Saturday, June 26, with judging on Sunday.
Independence Day
The City of Marlin invites you to participate in an exciting and festive Independence Day celebration. This year’s event, Celebrate America/Marlin Fest, will take place during the entire day of July 3 at City Park in Marlin.
There will be vendors and craftspeople, and yummy food trucks offering a unique experience for our community. We will also host a classic car show, a horseshoe competition, youth fishing tournament, music by DJ Scruggs and The Lone Star Souvenirs, a fireworks display, a huge bouncy house and other fun family events specifically for children.
This is the first memorable event our area will have as an opportunity to enjoy a community-wide celebration since COVID impacted our heartland last year. We welcome your participation to make this celebration a spectacular event, and we look forward to celebrating America and Marlin with you.
Local Youth Program
Gospel Lighthouse Church invites all youths within the community to Foundation Youth, an hour and a half long time of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It takes place each Sunday evening from 5-6:30 p.m. at 1009 Live Oak in Marlin.
Veterans Assistance
Caritas of Waco Inc. will be in Marlin every first and third Monday of the month as part of their Veterans Case Management Program: Assistance For Veterans / Outreach. Indoor Vendor’s Market
The Marlin Indoor Vendors Market takes place weekly at 215 Live Oak Street, Marlin from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market is also seeking vendors. The building is climate controlled. After School Program
The Boys & Girls Club of Falls County has an after school program that offers things such as homework help, health and life skills, and individual tutoring. It is $25 per child.
