FALLS COUNTY FELONY DOCKET
On October 13, 2022, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam. The following felony cases were disposed of:
3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Richard Lawrence Wiley, 59, from Rosebud, pled guilty to evading arrest with a motor vehicle. He was sentence to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. His sentence was suspended and he was placed on 10 years probation, assessed a $2,500.00 fine. Wiley was arrested on December 08, 2021, by Marlin Police Department.
Lakesha Latrese Stoglin, 41, from Waco, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, more than one gram but less than four grams. She was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine. Stoglin was arrested on June 6, 2021, by Lott Police Department.
Dwight Kent Armstead, 43, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, more than one gram but less than one gram. He was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. His sentenced was suspended and he was placed on 7 years probation, assessed a $2,000.00 fine. Armstead was arrested on January 2, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Jose Andres Ponce, 26, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram. He was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete the drug intervention program. Ponce was arrested on May 9, 2022, by Marlin Police Department.
Rachel Leann Vaughn, 31, from Lott, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine less than one gram. She was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine. She was also ordered to complete the substance abuse punishment program. Vaughn was arrested on March 27, 2021, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
