FALLS COUNTY MISDEMEANOR DOCKET
On April 27, 2023, Judge Bryan F. Russ, Jr. convened court to hear felony matters presented by District Attorney Jody Gilliam. The following felony cases were disposed of:
2nd Degree Felony (2 to 20 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Jesus Alfredo Gutierrez, 27, from Dallas, who had been placed on probation for the offense of sexual assault child. He was revoked and sentenced to 10 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System.
3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Nicole Marie Vernon, 34, from Killeen, pled guilty to bail jumping. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation. Vernon was arrested on November 9, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
Janasia Monae Watson, 19, from Marlin, pled guilty to injury to an elderly person. She was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a 1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. She was also ordered into the felony substance abuse program. Watson was arrested on January 27, 2023, by Marlin Police Department.
Maruis Donovan Davis, 17, from Sheridan, pled guilty to bail jumping. He was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a 500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Davis was arrested on July 4, 2021, by Lott Police Department.
Adam Bryant Jackson, 28, from Marlin, pled guilty to assault family violence, enhanced with a prior conviction. He was placed on 4 years deferred probation, assessed a 1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Jackson was arrested on August 24, 2022, by Marlin Police Department.
State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Maruis Donovan Davis, 17, from Sheridan, pled guilty to possession of tetrahydrocannabinol less than one gram. He was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a 500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. Davis was arrested on July 4, 2021, by Lott Police Department.

1st Degree Felony (5 to 99 years or life, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
JT Nutt, 41, from Marlin, pled guilty to aggravated assault family violence with deadly weapon. He was sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. Nutt was arrested on March 15, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
2nd Degree Felony (2 to 20 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Samuel David Amonette, 38, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of assault intent/reckless Breath/Circulation. He was revoked and sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System.
Leonard Charles Grant, 44, from Dallas, pled guilty to burglary of building. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 180 hours of community service. Grant was arrested on October 20, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
3rd Degree Felony (2 to 10 years, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Samuel David Amonette, 38, from Marlin, who had been placed on probation for the offense of injury child/elderly/disable with intent. He was revoked and sentenced to 7 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System.
Nicole Marie Vernon, 34, from Killeen, pled guilty to bail jumping. She was placed on 5 years deferred probation. Vernon was arrested on November 9, 2022, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
Wesley Solomon, 20, from Marlin, pled guilty to evading arrest detention with a motor vehicle. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a 1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete community service hours. He was also ordered into the felony substance abuse program. He was arrested on September 8, 2022, by Marlin Police Department.
Michael Andrew Sowder, 52, from Waco, pled guilty to bail jumping. He was sentenced to 5 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System. Sowder was arrested on February 6, 2023, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
State Jail Felony (6 to 24 months, up to $10,000.00 fine.)
Michael Andrew Sowder, 52, from Waco, who had been placed on probation for the offense of possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram. He was revoked and sentenced to 18 months confinement in a State Jail Facility.
Charity Lee Ann Moore, 46, from Marlin, pled guilty to burglary of building. He was placed on 5 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours of community service. Moore was arrested on April 19, 2022, by Falls County Constable.
Cerina Tubbs, 32, from Reagan, pled guilty to possession of methamphetamine, less than one gram. She was placed on 3 years deferred probation, assessed a $1,500.00 fine, ordered to complete 120 hours community service. Tubbs was arrested on August 7, 2021, by Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
David Wayne Cleveland, 47, from Marlin, pled guilty to possession of cocaine, less than one gram. He was sentenced to 18 months confinement in a State Jail Facility. Cleveland was arrested on January 25, 2023, by Marlin Police Department.
