Stolen vehicle leads to a further investigation

Falls County Sheriff Department received notiace of a stolen vehicle from a local business on July 29. 

Under the investigation of Falls County Sheriff Deputy Scott, the vehicle was sited in Calvert and returned to its owner. Due to a more thorough investigation, Deputy Scott reached out to learn the truck was linked to the additional theft of a trailer, tractor and shredder in Brazos County. 

With the assistance of Falls County Deputy Shoemaker, the tractor and shredder were found in Calvert and returned to the owner in Brazos County. The trailer has yet to be found.

While the case is still under investigation, through the collaboration of Falls, Brazos and Robertson County agencies, resulted in an immediate recovery of 75 percent of the stolen equipment. The goal is to apprehend the suspects involved as well as the stolen equipment.
