Marlin Juneteenth Organization sponsors COVID Walk

The Marlin, TX Juneteenth Organization held its annual 3K COVID-19 Walk Saturday, Sept. 21. Beginning at the Lucille Williams Pavilion, proceeding with three rotations around County Courthouse, thirty participants engaged in the walk.

Registered participants received a tee shirt. Special thanks to the sponsors including Walmart, HEB, Paul Funeral Home and the American Rescue Plan Grant. 

Refreshments were provided by the organization as they attentively welcomed the guest speaker, Dr. Omar Garcia, who works at the Baylor Scott & White Infectious Disease Control Center. Dr. Garcia, class of ’99 Marlinite and a COVID-19 ambassador, has served as the speaker at each COVID Walk.
