Marlin native honored as salesperson of the year

Kevin Odenbach was recently honored as the recipient of the Texas Allied Poultry Association Salesperson of the Year Award at the Texas Poultry Federation Convention in San Antonio.

Kevin is a Marlin native, a 1991 graduate of Marlin High School and 1997 graduate of Texas A&M University, majoring in Poultry Science. He began his career as a Breeder Flock manager at Hy-Line International with ten years of service. He later became the Breeder and Hatchery manager with Sanderson Farms in Bryan and took on similar roles with JBS Pilgrim’s in Nacogdoches.

In 2017, Kevin accepted a job with Cobb-Vantress as a Technical Service Representative for their southern territory in the United States. Odenbach is a Key Account Manager for Jones-Hamilton Co, Animal Nutritional Health Division, an industry-changing product benefiting farms and companies he served. No matter the position, Kevin always put the interest of his employees, customers, and co-workers first, embodying the work ethic laid out by his hard-working parents, Bubba and Billie Odenbach.

Kevin has been a member of the Texas Poultry Improvement Association, Texas Egg Council and Texas Broiler Council and since 2017, a member of the Texas Allied Poultry Association. He has held various leadership positions within these organizations, including President of the Texas Poultry Improvement Association and the President of the Texas Poultry Federation Board in 2022.

Outside of work, Kevin has several hobbies and commitments that keep him busy. He is a member and board member of the Caldwell Methodist Church. His faith, family, and friends are incredibly important to him. He loves to hunt and fish and spend time with his cattle.  

Having been married for nearly 25years, Kevin and wife, Monica Hollie Odenbach of Otto, have two children, Paige and Cooper. Paige is a May graduate from the University of St. Thomas-Houston and is currently employed as a Financial Advisor. Cooper is attending Texas A&M  as a Poultry Science major. Kevin’s children are the light of his life, and he is proud of all their accomplishments.

Kevin Odenbach  was presented the 2024 Salesperson of the Year by former top salesperson, Holly Duck, at the 100th Annual Convention in San Antonio.
