Commissioners take care of county business
Falls County Commissioners Court met at the County Courthouse in Marlin on Monday, Nov. 25, with County Judge Jay Elliott presiding. Commissioners present were Milton Albright (Pct. 1), and Jason Willberg (Pct. 3). F. A. Green (Pct. 2) participated via teleconference. Nita Wuebker (Pct. 2) was not in attendance. ADA Steve Sharp was present.
Commissioner Willberg moved to accept the Interlocal Agreement with Milam County to house inmates. Seconded by Commissioner Albright, the motion carried. Commissioners approved the $27,600.68 indigent health care payment. The coverage includes Marlin, Bremond and Rosebud Rural Health Clinics.
Also approved were details of the end of the year county departmental inventory which is required by the State once every three years. Commissioner Albright moved that locally the inventory should be annually. Commissioner Willberg seconded the motion which carried.
Bonding was approved for Sheriff Department Jason Campbell, Kara Wiley, Jared Bonner; Vanessa Dodd, Deputy County Clerk; Constables Jerry Loden (Pct. 3), Jonathan Shoemaker (Pct. 1) and Kimberly Baucom, County Auditor’s Office. Procedures regarding incumbent county and precinct officials who were not renominated or reelected to office were approved.
Commissioner Albright moved the payment of bills. Commissioner Willberg seconded and the motion carried. The motion to accept the minutes of the prior meeting was carried. Falls County Commissioners Court will meet Monday, Dec. 9, at 9 a.m.
