Marlin in Stage 5 Drought contingency as winter maintenance performed

Marlin residents can expect low water pressure.

Stage 5 response measures from our city's Drought Contingency Plan have been placed in effect. Under these response measures, vehicle washing, lawn irrigation, and laundromat operations shall be discontinued until further notice.

The City said they will soon be performing maintenance at the water treatment plant before the next round of cold weather. Before maintenance can be performed, they must first stabilize our water system by filling all the towers. The Stage 5 response measures are intended to reduce daily consumption which will help the water towers fill more quickly.
