THOMAS AUGUSTA WILLIAMS

Thomas Augusta Williams, known lovingly as “Tommy” to his family, passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at his home in Taylor, Texas. He was 74 years old.

Tom was born on November 22, 1950, in Marlin, Texas. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1969 and went on to earn his degree from the University of Houston in 1976. A proud veteran, Tom served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 to 1972.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Linda; his daughter Chelsea Goetz, her husband Kevin, and their two sons, Troy and Dylan; and his daughter Sylvia Holmes and her husband Sterling.

He is also survived by his brother Donald Williams and sister-in-law Wynona; nieces Tamala Paddenburg and Amanda Greene; his sister Sue Lewis and brother-in-law Edmond; nieces Karen Kish, Kari Canuteson, and nephew Steven Lewis; and his youngest sister Janet Petry and brother-in-law David, along with nieces Michelle Wink and Rachel Krueger.

Tom was deeply loved and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Tom’s Wonderful Life will be held on Friday, May 2, at 1 PM at the Ben Hur Shrine Temple in Austin, Texas.

In honor of his late mother, Elsie Faye, and his father, John Albert Williams, Tom would have appreciated donations made to melanoma or prostate cancer research foundations.
