Lucky us. We live here in America, the land of pumpkins. They wait at big box stores, grocery stores and popular Pumpkin Patches. Children love the largest they can carry. They’re easy enough to carve, although jack-o- lantern artists can make them into a big production using a variety of knives, electric drills and saws, and scoops. The there’s the innards. Eww! Cries a child the first time they scoop out the stringy and slimy “pumpkin
guts” before carving.
