Love those holidays, but not quite so soon

Stopped in to shop at one of the big box stores in mid-September. “And what to my wondering eyes did appear?” A fully it up Christmas tree, That’s what. Talk about pushing the holidays. I wish stores would stop creeping up the decorations for the holidays in general. I want to have time to enjoy each and every holiday in its time. Anticipation makes everything better. Let me enjoy Halloween, please. Carving pumpkins, kids in costumes, scary movies, and individually wrapped candies are glorious. Parties and grown up costumes are even better. Lerftover candy at the stores rules rules, especially that orange and black wrapped molasses confection containing peanut butter. Not having to teach sugar-powered kids the following day, because I’m retired, ha!ha!ha!
