Lady Bulldogs dominate Pirates, Cubs, Jaguars, Eagles

The Marlin High School Lady Bulldogs have made quite the comeback since the loss against Lancaster in the first game of the season.

Clifton had a single point at the start of the second quarter and didn’t make up any ground during the second quarter. The teams went into halftime at 37-8. Even with the 29-point gain, the third quarter followed suit with the second. The Cubs struggled to add to the Board while the Marlin girls continued to dominate.  They only ended up getting an additional three points, taking a score of 51-11 into the fourth quarter.

McKenna Johnson was named MaxPreps Player of the game with a total of 15 points scored, which included six two-pointers and three of three free throws, four rebounds, eight assists and eight steals.

Back-to-back games against the Hubbard Jaguars and the Hearne Eagles on Nov. 20 and 21 were similar to those prior in terms of scores, coming out 69-29 and 52-23 (respectively) in favor of the Bulldogs.

The Eagles proved to be a strong opponent, but the Bulldogs didn’t give up.
