LADY DOGS VICTORIOUS OVER MART

The Marlin Lady Bulldogs girls basketball team traveled to take on the Mart Lady Panthers on Friday, Jan. 10. The Lady Bulldogs were victorious, defeating Mart in a 26-24 thriller. 

The game was tight in the first half as Marlin went into halftime ahead of Mart 18-16. The second half was even tighter. Both teams each scored only eight points the whole second half, but that was enough for the Lady Bulldogs to win 26-24. 

With this victory, Marlin now has a record of 11-6 and a perfect district record of 6-0, standing alone in first place in the district standings. 

After playing the Moody Lady Cats on the road on Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs will return home to host the Bruceville-Eddy Lady Eagles. The game will be on Friday, Jan. 17, and tip off is set for 6:15 p.m.
